About Us: Anthony C. Griffin, Principal of Teamworks
Tony Griffin is a training and performance improvement expert with twenty-eight years experience in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. He is a former Peace Corps Volunteer, is fluent in Spanish, and works routinely in that language. Tony has a unique ability to quickly establish rapport with training audiences and clients - a feature of Teamworks that distinguishes this consulting practice.
Consultant and Trainer
Mr. Griffin has substantive, hands-on experience in consulting and training
and small group facilitation and leadership, working in manufacturing,
petrochemicals, construction, health care delivery, agriculture, and public
sector agencies. All consulting and training services can be delivered
in either Spanish or English at no additional charge.
Mr. Griffin's areas of expertise are: training needs assessment, instructional design, development of instructional materials, classroom presentation, job analysis, sexual harassment prevention, design and implementation of organizational change strategies, root cause analysis & problem-solving skills training, Poka Yoke (error-proofing) training, performance improvement strategies, team-building, leadership and management skills training, succession planning, training program management, small group facilitation, train-the-trainers, interviewing skills, interpersonal communications skills training, and evaluation of the impacts of training.
He served as the Training Manager for ITT Cannon Industries, Ray-O-Vac, and Hospital Corporation of America. He holds a Master's degree in Adult Education from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University.
He has completed advanced professional development courses with: California Manufacturing Technology Center, Alamo Consulting Group, National Training Laboratories, American Society for Training and Development, University of Michigan, International Society for Performance Improvement,International Society for Performance Improvement, Harless Performance Guild, Wilson Learning, Training House, Inc., Zenger-Miller, and Teleometrics, Inc., Dr. Edward DeBono.

Teacher and Speaker
Tony Griffin is an adjunct faculty member in Supervision and Leadership
at California State University, San Bernardino. He delivered the keynote
address on "Developments in Leadership," in Istanbul, before
the Turkish Human Resources Association.
He lead a workshop on "Seven Strategic Factors for Implementing Change," at the Human Resources Development Conference, in Guatemala City.
He has spoken on "Training Systems" and "Edward deBono's Six Thinking Hats" at meetings of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and is frequently called upon by the Employers Advisory Council, the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and The Employers Group to speak on workplace issues, human resource development, thinking skills, and training effectiveness.
Mr. Griffin teaches Leadership and Supervision at California State University, San Bernardino. He also teaches the course, "Working More Effectively with Employees Whose First Language is Not English," at the University of California, Riverside.

His seminal article on effective training programs appears in the Performance
Improvement Journal, Volume XXXIX, No. 1. This same article has also been
published in the ASTD Training and Performance Sourcebook (McGraw-Hill).
His article, "Overcoming Cultural and Language Barriers in Facilitation and Training," appeared in Facilitation News, Vol. 5, No. 2.
Mr. Griffin serves as an editorial reviewer for the International Association of Facilitators.
He article, "What is 'Confianza' and Why Is It Important," is featured in Vol XIII, No. 3, of Human Resources Professional.
